Additionally, the combat is really interesting and immersive. The amount of depth and freedom you have in the single player campaign is kind of great and keeps the replayability up there. And now after playing it for about a week, I can say it's awesome. My first impression of this game when I first looked at it was "it looks like shit" but I gave it a chance because I heard it was really good. Mount & Blade: Warband is a standalone "expansion." It does not require the original Mount & Blade to be played.
